Drawing for classic bike in September

Recent e-mail inquiries indicate rising interest in the classic 2003 Indian Chief Roadmaster motorcycle that the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation will award at its yearly drawing at 3 p.m. Sept. 6, 2011. The bike, given by Jon Marshall of Rapid City, SD, has 9,013 actual miles and is displayed near the entrance of the Welcome Center. You can see a gallery of photos here.

Proceeds from the Foundation’s seventh motorcycle drawing help to match the $5 million T. Denny Sanford Foundation gift challenge that is funding the development of the horse’s head on the giant mountain carving.
