Open houses set in May, September

To show new and returning visitors the latest progress, Crazy Horse Memorial will offer the following open house events. Admission will be free to everyone giving monetary gifts or 3 cans of food per person to the KOTA Care & Share Food Drive for the Feeding South Dakota food bank:

– May 17-19, Friday through Sunday. Crazy Horse, other area attractions and state parks invite you to “See South Dakota.” The Memorial will be open from 8 a.m. until after the “Legends in Light” laser-light show. The dynamic visual storytelling program is projected on the mountain carving beginning at dark and starts Friday night, May 17.

– May 24-27, Friday through Monday. The Memorial Day weekend open house will see Memorial hours extend from 8 a.m. until after the “Legends in Light” show. Please note that food bank gifts also are accepted on the traditional Memorial Day, this year on Thursday, May 30.

– Aug. 30-Sept. 2, Friday through Monday. During the Labor Day holiday open house the Memorial will be open from 8 a.m. until after the “Legends in Light” program.

Crazy Horse offers many other food bank events throughout the year. Crazy Horse visitors last year gave 44,561 pounds of food and $31,932.38 for the food bank.
